Project Description:

Solution 4 Building were engaged as the head contactor by the Department of Finance / DFES to complete the reroofing works at Wangara Fire Station. The works included:

  • Removal of exiting roof sheeting and parapets and upgrade of existing steel structure to IL4.
  • Additional steel roof structure to provide increased roof slope from 2 degrees to a minimum of 5
  • New roof sheeting and insulation including spacers, new roof overhangs and lined soffits where parapet replaced, new fibre cement cladding and replacement of damaged existing fibre
  • New timber battens joints throughout project and cement cladding.
  • Refurbishment of corridor (fitout) and make good to ceilings where skylights have been replaced
